Features
Notes and files, together. Local, fast, and entirely yours.
Organize scattered files and notes
Memona displays files and notes together on one screen. When writing notes while viewing files, you no longer need to constantly switch between folders and note apps.
Powerful integrated search
Quickly search file names, folder names, and even content within pages across all subfolders in your current working directory.
Security based on local storage
Contracts or sensitive project materials stored on external servers are concerning. Memona works only on your computer, keeping data local.
Block editing, saved as Markdown
Write with an intuitive block editor, but every note is stored as a plain Markdown file. Open them in any text editor, portable, future-proof, and never locked in to Memona.
Fast, because it's local
No server round-trips, no sync delays. Memona reads directly from your disk and responds instantly, even in airplane mode.
Your folders, no limits
Your notes live in real folders on your own machine. No monthly storage caps, no paid tiers. Your disk is the only limit.
Frequently asked questions
What makes Memona different from cloud note-taking apps?
Memona works only on your computer without cloud or internet connection. Your data never leaves your device, which is better for security. Since it uses your existing file locations, you don't need to move or reorganize files.
Is it compatible with my existing files and folders?
Yes! Memona works on top of your existing file explorer structure. You don't need to migrate or reorganize anything. Simply point Memona to your folders and start adding notes and documentation.
Do team members need training to use it?
No separate training needed. Many people already use Markdown syntax (in note apps, GitHub, etc.), and the interface is intuitive, so most users can start using it within 10 minutes.
When will the official version be released, and how much does it cost?
The official version is scheduled to launch in May 2026 at a one-time payment of $8. The free version offers full access to all features with a limit of 30 blocks per page.
Can multiple team members collaborate on the same folders?
Memona works with your local or network file system. If you have shared network drives or use file sync solutions, multiple team members can work with the same folders. Each person runs Memona on their own computer to view and edit the shared content.
